Inspire Her is our women and girls participation programme funding by the RFU aimed at young people aged 6-12 to increase physical activity through rugby.

Inspire Her aims to give young women and girls the opportunity to learn new skills and become part of an inclusive and safe community. With women’s rugby experiencing unprecedented growth around the world over recent years, and with a spotlight on the sport with Rugby World Cup in the summer of 2025 – Inspire Her aims to utilise rugby to engage young women in sport.

Summer Camps

  • The project offers camps over the summer holidays hosted by local rugby clubs in Enfield, Datchworth, and Letchworth areas.
  • The camps are focused on developing participants’ skills through fun-filled rugby sessions!
  • Through this, participants will also have the chance to have a positive rugby experience and spend a day at their local rugby club familiarise themselves with the club
Inspire Her

School Sessions

Inspire Her offers a school’s programme which aims to give female students a positive introduction to rugby and encourage physical activity.

  • The sessions are all non-contact and cater for all rugby experience levels.
  • Sessions can be run during curriculum PE sessions and as an afterschool club.

Festivals

As part of the programme, schools will have the opportunity to take part in a touch rugby festival hosted by a local club.

The festival will be a great chance for participants to put their rugby skills into practice, enjoy physical activity and meet new people!
